Lovely antique Arts and Crafts oak carved armchair from around 1900–1920, in the style of JosefHoffmann and the Glasgow school of art Made from solid oak wood with a decorative hand carved laurel wreath at the top, carved in one piece . The back has a tall arched design with vertical slats and the seat is upholstered in a soft dove grey/ blue velvet fabric (possibly replaced mid-century).Strong and well-made with visible pegged joints. Ideal as a statement chair in a hallway, study, or period-style room.Good antique condition with some light wear from age.
