Rare Arts & Crafts armchair attributed to Liberty & Co, circa 1905. Hand-carved throughout with Japanese floral motifs—peonies and chrysanthemums adorning the back, arms, seat and legs. Crafted in Japan for Liberty's furniture department, rich walnut with excellent patina and crisp carving. A striking statement piece for any Arts & Crafts interior. Height 91–92 cm, width 49–52 cm, depth 49 cm, seat height approximately 41 cm.
