Antique Regency Overmantel Gilded Triple Mirror , Leaf Crest, Mercury Glass c.1830

A striking and generously scaled antique overmantel mirror from the late Regency to early Victorian period, c.1830–1840. This finely proportioned piece features its original single mercury glass plate and a deep carved gesso and wood frame with a dramatic central leaf crest and scrollwork in bold relief.Frame retains its original water-gilded finish with a warm antique patina. No re-gilding applied.

The mirror has been gently cleaned and professionally conserved. Later black dividers have been removed to reveal the authentic inner edge, which has been carefully restored in keeping with the original design. Missing gesso motifs have been reinstated; no re-gilding or overpainting has been applied.
