This mid-19th-century English gilt gesso mirror showcases a Rococo Revival style with a cushion-shaped frame bordered by deep ruby-red bevelled glass panels. Its giltwood frame features detailed floral and scroll motifs, topped with an acanthus and shell crest. The original mercury plate and glass show light age wear, confirming authenticity. Measuring 30 by 17 inches, it is in very good condition with minor wear typical of its age and ready to hang. This piece reflects English craftsmanship influenced by French Napoleon III designs from around 1860–1880.
