This pair of French Empire candlesticks, circa 1810–1820, is attributed to Claude Galle, a renowned bronzier of the Napoleonic era. Crafted in gilt and patinated bronze, they feature three gilt swans with outstretched wings around the base and a tapering shaft with classical decoration. Originally converted into lamps in the 1930s, they have been professionally restored to their original candle use. These well-preserved antiques retain their original gilding and patina, with no structural damage, making them exceptional examples of early 19th-century French craftsmanship.Three finely cast gilt bronze swans with outstretched wings encircling the base,A tapering patinated shaft with foliate collar and anthemion frieze,A lotus-form drip pans and original candle cup at the top,Internal foundry markings: "4 x 1111" and "327" — consistent with early 19th-century French model registration.Historically converted into lamps in the 1930s (now professionally and discreetly reversed, retaining all original parts).Height: approx. 15 inchesBase width: approx. 6.5 inches
