This set of six antique Hepplewhite-style dining chairs dates from around 1800–1830 and includes four side chairs plus two carvers with open arms. They feature finely carved wheat-ear shield backs, traditional pegged joints, and chamfered stretchers. The original hessian webbed seats have been recently reupholstered in red velvet. Made from solid oak or mahogany, the chairs show gentle wear and historic patina. Dimensions: approximately 92 cm high, 48 cm wide for side chairs, 56 cm wide for carvers, with a seat height of 45 cm.
