A striking British mid-century modern sofa by Pieff, designed by Tim Bates in the 1970s. This is the rare larger three-seater (234 cm) version of the iconic Mandarin model, featuring a polished chrome sled frame and deep, low-profile seating.
Upholstered in original light cream/beige leather — a less commonly seen finish — the sofa offers a softer, more contemporary look than typical darker examples, making it particularly suited to modern interiors. The piece remains structurally excellent, with well-formed cushions and a clean chrome frame. The leather shows attractive natural patina consistent with age.
Width: 234 cm, Depth: approx. 85–90 cm, Height: approx. 70–75 cm
A rare and highly usable statement piece of British mid-century design.
